Hazard Mitigation Plan

Draft Copy for Public Disclosure

The Town of Tyringham is working towards completing its current Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP), and is currently in its public disclosure portion.

The plan, which is required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency [FEMA] for local jurisdictions to be eligible for disaster mitigation funding, will be available for public review and comment from April 1, 2021 for two weeks.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions for large gatherings, the public review period will be conducted on-line instead of an in-person, open house format. The electronic version of the current draft of the Hazard Mitigation Plan can be viewed attached to this posting and on our website at Tyringham-MA.gov

The plan ensures Tyringham continually assess and evaluates its hazard risks regularly.

The Town of Tyringham is seeking public input and feedback on the planning process and final draft of the plan.
