Tyringham 2020 Census Response

BRPC urges Tyringham residents that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census to respond ASAP

I am writing to ask that all members of Tyringham do one last push to respond to the 2020 Cencus.  The Census Bureau is mailing the seventh and final notice to households that have not yet replied and have also begun the non-response follow-up, which involves a census employee visiting the housing units that have not responded.  This follow-up will run throug the end  of September.  As of August 10th, 42.5% of your community has responed.  Note that this percentage includes second homes, so second homeowners are encouraged to complete the census for thier local address and record zero people living at their Tyringham address.  

As a reminder, the federal government distributes approximately $2,500/person/year based on the census numbers.  Your legislative representation at the State and National levels also depends on these counts.  Your community will be living with these counts for the next ten years, so we must count everyone!
