Master Plan (aka Town Plan)
- MA State Resources
- https://www.mass.gov/guides/community-one-stop-for-growth
- Grant: Rural and Small Town Development Fund Grant Program
- The most recent application deadline was June 2022. We would be looking to apply for the FY2024
- First step was (before applying for the grant) to send a letter of interest. The deadline for this was December 15, 2021. So, if the grant is made available for 2024, we expect similar deadlines.
- BRPC Community Planning advising & resources
- https://berkshireplanning.org/program/community-planning/
- Amanda reached out to Thomas Matuszko (Assitant Director of BRPC) with questions about cost and consulting with BRPC.
- Amanda will attend the BRPC executive meeting held 11/3 as well
- Otis’ Master Plan
- Carol emailed Harold Kobrin, previous Chair of Otis Planning Board to ask about his experience creating the Otis Master Plan. We’ll await his response.
- Amanda provided copies from the Otis appendix and the Rural and Small Town Development Plan from the State’s Community One Stop for Growth site.
- We emailed Larry Gould, our Building Inspector, and asked him to join us for a meeting. We would benefit from hearing about his experience with the Otis Master Plan (he was on the Steering Committee (MPSC)
- Tyringham Town Survey from 2018
- We reviewed the results and discussed the next survey we would need to do.
- We reviewed Otis’ town survey which was in depth and included 35 questions.
- Project Management Tools
- Ellen looked into Trello which has a free 14 day trial. The standard plan is $5 per person per month (when billed annually). This would cost us about $300. We will table this idea until we know more about BRPC & One Stop (MA State) resources & costs.
