Historical Commission Minutes
TYRINGHAM HISTORICAL COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
7 March 2023
IN ATTENDANCE: Catherine Mardula, Terry Clark, Deborah Coy, Carol Hardy-Fanta, Larry Bravo, Ann Gallo
CALL TO ORDER: At 5:08. Minutes of the February 6th meeting were read by Ann Gallo, Ann Gallo moved to approve and Deborah Coy seconded.
HISTORIC SITES PROJECTS (TOWN LANDMARKS PROJECTS)
Larry Bravo gave a report indicating that this would start with the town’s most obvious sites, meaning those with remaining physical evidence. Larry indicated that he would talk with some of the long-time residents of the town such as Nini Gilder and Everett Fennelly to help get a good list together with descriptions and photographs. He will not be focusing on the historical houses in town as they are already published, but that he and Ann Gallo would look through the archives in the schoolhouse to ensure they have a comprehensive list.
SCHOOL HOUSE PROJECT
Carol Hardy-Fanta reported that the letter to the Board of Selectmen has been drafted and shared that with the committee.
Comments will be submitted by the members of the Commission and a revised version will be shared at the next meeting.
The select board will be asked to share any proposals that they have with the Historical Commission in the future, as they should keep the Commission updated as to the renovation project.
REPATRIATION PROJECT
Will move forward for the next meeting
The next meeting will take place on April 10th at 5:00 via ZOOM.
Ann Gallo moved to close the meeting at 5:21 and Catherine Mardula seconded.
