Historical Commission Meeting Minutes

Tyringham Historical Commission – Minutes for Monday, February 17, 2020

The Historical Commission met at 4:00 pm on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 103 Main Road, MA. Commission Members present – Ann Gallo, Nini Gilder, Alice Hale, Sarah Hudson, Maggie Howard, Peter Charpentier and Carol Hardy-Fanta.

1. Motion to open meeting by Nini, seconded by Ann
2. Plaque installation at library: Decision on where to place the plaque for the National Register. Consensus is to have it placed centered, under the window. Final placement to be confirmed.
3. Tyringham Schoolhouse update on National Register Nomination. Nini read several requests from the National Register committee evaluating our application, despite the excellent and detailed application already submitted by Bonnie Parsons. Ms. Parsons will address the requested details and re-submit to the state.
4. Review/Selection of 1989 Slides. Completed 2 carousels of slides with a selection marked for scanning.
5. It was noted that Maggie Howard, Mark Curtin and Ann Gallo termed out of the HC in 2019. Ann Gallo will be renewing. Maggie Howard will not be renewing. Mark Curtin was not in attendance so his renewal will be discussed at next meeting.
6. Motion to end meeting by Peter, seconded by Ann. Ended at 5:25
