Election Help Needed for State Primary

Hello all,

I am beginning the process of securing staff for the Presidential Primary which is scheduled for September 1, 2020 from 7 am to 2 pm. I need as follows:

  • 2 staff for 7 AM to 1:30 PM
  • 2 staff from 1:30 PM to 8 PM
  • 8 counters from 8 PM till an accurate double count is complete (typically within an hour)

Being we are getting close to elections, I am at the Town Hall pretty much once daily during the week to follow through on election responsibilities. 

As soon as I receive the updated envelopes, I will be sending out the Absentee/Early Voting Ballots to those who have requested. Please remember to send the requests in by August 26, 2020 in order to receive your ballot via mail. I have noticed sometimes mail is taking a bit longer, so I would suggest getting them in earlier to ensure you have time to receive your ballot and get it back in to me. There is a new secure dropbox labeled Town Clerk Dropbox in front of the Town Hall, so you can also submit requests or your ballots there. I check this box once daily. 

After a training next week with KP Law in relation to elections, I will be posting an updated elections calendar including Early Voting hours.
