Historical Commission
The Tyringham Historical Commission, housed in the Tyringham School House on Church Road, is responsible for ensuring that the historical character of the town is maintained to the maximum extent possible in terms of its structures and landscapes, and the Commission provides stewardship over a large collection of historic archives, including photographs of residents, buildings, landscapes and town celebrations, family histories and genealogies, information on its cemetery, churches, etc. The material available dates back to the days when Tyringham and Monterey were one township, and earlier. All are welcome to visit, by appointment.
